On our final day in Big Bear, Grandma Trisha and Grandpa Bob, Lisa, Mike, and their kids and grandkids came up to the cabin to visit. We spent time reconnecting and catching everyone up on what the kids are doing these days, while the kids enjoyed the hot tub and dyed Easter eggs. It was beautiful despite the chilly temps! Grandma Trisha brought them many delicious Easter gifts too. Jayden wanted to be with Kenzie at all times, and Kayden hit it off with Jacob. Despite struggling with the GI bug, Nick did his best to join in the fun too! Afterwards, we went to the Big Bear Bowling Barn and enjoyed several rounds of bowling, arcade games and snacks. Luke's competitive side came out during bowling and we realized that we will have to start going bowling as a family when we get home because everyone had so much fun!!
As we reflected on these family's shared histories, we made new and happy memories and strengthened the bonds that have been there since these precious boys were born.
We appreciate the blessing that each of these people is in each of our lives!
Overall, this trip as a whole was rich. Some seriously beautiful sights were seen and some lasting memories made.
We're thankful for everyone, every prayer, and every moment that played a role in strengthening our kid's identity and foundation during this trip. God's hand was on us all this week and we are beyond thankful.
