Look who’s 7

Now we’re back to having the youngest two be the same age! There’s been a long running countdown to Jayden’s seventh birthday, so we were all very happy when it finally arrived! He enjoyed some great gifts: squishy makers, legos, a remote controlled car (that already doesn’t work… perhaps not one that target sells lasts longer than a day??), a planetarium, some cash and gift cards. Grandpa can over and enjoyed a birthday feast with the little man. On the weekend, we celebrated with friends over laser tag and arcade fun, at Adventure Sports, followed by splurging on king crab legs at Riverhouse. 

Jayden’s is one fun loving seven year old! He’s fearless on the diving board and at Hershey park. He’s friendly, loves meeting new people and saying hi out the window to passersby. He has a great sense of direction, a super strong throwing arm,  and a great sense of humor (albeit annoying sometimes with the elementary school boy love of potty talk!) He loves water play of all kinds, especially water balloons, and loves spending time on the trampoline. He loves sky zone, arcades and the pool. He says he wants to be a police officer when he grows up, and while this seemed to have started because of what they get to carry, he’s definitely talking more about keeping us all safe from others who break laws, so it’s cute watching his imagination, and sense of justice, expand and take foot. He’s excited to start first grade in a couple of weeks and we’re excited to see what he can do, and what God can do through him, in the year to come.
