The Final Garden project

Once and for all!!  This will be our last garden project, and it's a beauty.  Now the pressure's on to produce.  So here is the transformation of yet another non-level piece of our hilly hard.  It is truly a (6x20 foot square!!) transformation into useful and pretty space.  I'm really proud of Mike's hard work on this one, he literally planned and did all the work himself, with only a little help from a few little guys, pictured below.  It was fun and we all love it.

In this picture, I'm checking on Nick who's lounging in the green chair with the sun shield overhead, so that part is weird but it's a great view of the garden from the far end, where the composter now sits, with Lukas working down in the lower level.  So far, we have tomatoes, green peppers, pumpkin and zucchini.  We will be adding green beans, corn and a yellow pepper to the mix this week.  There's plenty of space so we figured, why not! 

Working hard?  Hardly working?

And although Daddy did most of the work for this project, Lukas knows who's garden it is.  Here, without prompting or direction from either of us, he wrote on the board separating the lower level from the upper level, "Lukas Mommy" - melts my heart!!  :)
