Christmas 2014

As usual, we had several days worth of Christmas celebrations!

We did our usual 7pm Christmas Eve service at Calvary UMC
with Larry & Zel, with a quick family photo shoot at home beforehand:

December 22:  Christmas with the Pfeiffers

(actual) Christmas:

Although there are dozens, it's hard to capture smiles like this on camera, especially because Mike and I were trying hard to not spend our Christmas behind the camera but rather in the moment.  Anyways, this is probably the least expensive least exciting gift he got, but it was a cute smile that's for sure.  Lukas also helped Nicholas open all his gifts.  We all had fun sharing the joy and love of gift giving!

Lukas bought me an olaf shirt and sweatpants for Christmas!

Above - Crazy forts, another model car, new paints, kinetic sand.  Here, Luke's big gift this year (which he's only been asking for for about six months!) - a red remote controlled monster truck.  Our unseasonably warm Christmas made it even more fun to play with - outside!
No, you don't have to run after a remote control vehicle to keep it moving but Lukas was trying to protect it from running into the road.  His understanding that he was in control of it continues to develop slowly amid his generalized awe of the truck.

December 27: Estevez Family Christmas:

Not pictured but present: Pop and Jon.  Joe and family weren't able to join us this year but will be up next month for Nick's welcome home party.

All in all, these were a series of blessed Christmas celebrations that we were fortunate to enjoy with all our families.  We're thankful to God for His wonderful blessings in our lives; each and every one of you.
