This year Mike took a week off and we used it as a "staycation." It was fantastic.
First, we headed up to Penn State for a visit with our dear friends Alex, Kristin, Abigail and Emilia. Abi and Lukas are 3 months apart and always get along great. They are just too cute in these pictures!!
Lukas isn't so sure about the cuddling ;)
Abi is teaching Luke how to dance!
Our new shed finally got installed!
The next day, we got Lukas a real bike. He caught on to the pedaling much faster than I expected and was off for a quarter mile bike ride before we knew it.
Here we are 100 yards from home and Lukas gets off his "training bike" to explain the mechnics of bike riding to Momma. Thanks buddy.
We are all just oozing with pride!!!
Down the road there's a bank which is mostly flat and has become a favorite place to ride. Above, Lukas is going through the ATM :)
As you can see, we had to jog to keep up on several occasions!
The next day, we went to the Conewago trail for some riding. It was a beautiful morning!
Here my little buddy is, approaching the 0.5 mile marker on the trail!
Of course, he was pretty tired after that so Daddy needed to carry him a bit!
The next day, we went for a visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Pfeiffer. First, we showed off the bike riding pictures. I love how Grandpa never hesitates to get down on the ground and play with Lukas! Grandma cooked us a delicious lunch and we had fun catching up.

Our first trip to Hershey Park was a ton of fun!
On the weekend, Grandma and Pop came up for a visit and we had to head out for a few more bike rides. They were impressed with how quick Lukas is!
Notice Pop's stride in this one (below)
All in all, it was a fun week to remember full of quality time with my favorite people.
There's a song I've been hooked on lately by Casting Crowns:
Joy Unspeakable
Faith Unsinkable
Love Unstoppable
Anything is possible
... we know we were made for so much more than ordinary lives
It's time for us to more than just survive,
We were made to thrive!
