Jacob

Jacob turned 7 during this busy month of transitions! We didn’t have a party or do cake but he had many small special gatherings to celebrate. We opened presents with daddy before leaving town for the beach for the first week of summer.
Then on his actual bday, we were with Grandma, Pop, Joe, Chris & Will. Funny story… Jayden (in his oh-so-sweet-but-very-forward-way) asked Joe if he brought Jacob a cake and with some quick thinking Joe said yes, it’s a big green one in the fridge, and when Jayden went to investigate he found a watermelon. So, Joe put candles in it and we sang! Lol! When we returned home we had a playdate with friends and then when daddy had his day off work, we went to Diggerland!!

Jacob is my darling! He’s the most talkative shy person I’ve ever met, a neat and orderly, number loving, smartie pants. He’s quick, agile, tiny bht formidable, intelligent, kind, polite and incredibly tender-hearted. He’s risk-averse, knows his limits, and he avoids his triggers better than any other kid I know, by going off alone when he needs to.  Although not technically the youngest, he acts like and is treated like the baby of the family by us all. His teachers (Every.Single.One of them) have told us that he’s their favorite student even though they know they’re not supposed to have favorites. School comes easy to him. He continues to love construction vehicles but now wants to be a farmer when he grows up. He’s hoping to do vegetables and livestock on the farm he buys, with the truck he inherits, after studying Ag in college. He also loves turtles, stuffies, playing pretend, jumping on the trampoline, and racing against his own spilts from here to there. He’s the most likely brother to get along with any other brother, except when he’s not in the mood, and then he’s just as demanding and unreasonable as the rest of us.
In short, Jacob brightens the room and makes others happy, he’s a sweetie and we’re so thankful to have him lighting up our lives!!! Jacob, we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things your future holds!!!
