Halloween ‘22
This October we did some of the same traditions and added in something new too. We were thankful for a bountiful harvest from Pop and thus had plenty of materials to work with when we carved and painted pumpkins and roasted seeds. We Boo’d the neighbors. And, we volunteered at our church to have a “trunk” in the Trunk or treat. We did a Minecraft theme and used some of our toys/decor, and I got the kids new PJs so they could be on theme without officially “dressing up”. I let them enjoy the other trunks but tried to focus on serving others, and they did have fun giving out candy and cheering on other kids in our little game. Then on Halloween, we enjoyed trick or treating with the neighbors! Jayden was Boba Fett, Jacob The Mandolorian, Nick was Ghost Face (with blood squirting), and Lukas waited until the last minute and decided to reuse a costume from several years back - he was an Octopus. They all looked great and got a ton of candy and other goodies. All and all it was a deliciously good time.
