Fall

This fall has been fun although chilly.  The hallmark of our play has been around survival skills thanks to our new favorite show, Alone (on the History Channel).  We just finished Season 3 and it's a show Lukas and Nick watch after the littles go to bed.  It is teaching them some interesting skills and while Nick sometimes has trouble applying lessons learned in school, when it comes to the outdoors, he has not trouble whatsoever.  His powers of memory, creativity and invention run wild outback, as do Luke's.  It's a beautiful thing to witness.  We have yet to catch any mice in our deadfall traps (thank goodness ;)) or sleep a night in our lean-to, but they're having fun building nonetheless.

Fall is, of course, marked by football as well (for Lukas most especially).  Luke's team, the Packers, is doing OK.  Lukas is (in my humble opinion) the best flag grabber on the team, he's also caught several passes, interceptions, good handoffs and made one touchdown as well.  He really hustles out there.

Jacob still prefers to play inside, with legos, creating construction vehicles, home layouts and animals.

The annual Conewago Country fair was also a lot of fun.  Jayden LOVES the Falcon!!

And Nicholas has been excelling at Ninja! He goes to Urban Playground and his role model is now Coach Josiah who can do 5 backflips without stopping.  It's so fun to watch him learn and grow, exercise his natural talents and develop new skills.  He is really gifted in this way.
