Luke is 11

It’s really hard to believe that Lukas is 11! He’s maturing right before our eyes, the best big brother a parent of multiple can hope for: training as teacher, nurse and therapist, always willing to step up and help out. He’s independent but still looks for us, and prefers when we’re with him. He’s not too big to kiss his momma and always cuddles when we watch tv together. He procrastinates with piano but is supremely dedicated to football and entirely independent and disciplined with his homework. Lukas continues to devour books, at a pace of about one every other week. This year he’s read more Jason Reynolds than anything and still likes athlete or coming of age and triumph stories best, but he’s not too old for potty humor either and we’ve all been on a Wimpy Kid binge lately.  Luke is the kind of kid we gone wants to be around and we can’t wait to continue to watch and support him as he develops. 

His gift this year was a football Jersey and Mike shared his bday gift and took him to a 4pm Eagles game on his birthday.
