End of the year!

Remarkable, unique, unprecedented. 

Thankfully, the stresses of the early portion of the year are but a faint memory at this point. Thankfully, the past few months of the year have definitely been full of liberating changes and transitions towards a new normal. Furthermore, as Dr. Wuestner so eloquently noted in their yearbook, the children have proven their resilience in new ways beyond our expectations!  We’ve been so blessed by the staff at Conewago and the practical approach in our district. The preschool took things very conservatively and although we wished we could have been more involved in and connected to their activities, the kids were healthy all year and the school stayed open which was good. Both preschoolers have mastered counting, coloring and the alphabet. Kindergarten started rough but ultimately became a tremendous success. Nicholas loves his friends, enjoys going his own way, has enchanting  imagination and creativity, and most impressively, he is reading!!  Lukas learned Sax, also cherishes time with friends, and proved himself a model student, as he became remarkably reliable and independent in countless ways, and has consistently become a most helpful brother too.  

As the end of the year drew near, I became more appreciative of the unique benefits this year of working from home allowed, and it’s potential end became bittersweet.  So, I volunteered to work field day and had the Best time.  

All in all, we’re ending this year a little tired but very proud and definitely ready for some fun this summer!!!
