Double Digits!

This year was our first one celebrating the trifecta birthday, which is shared by Christopher (turning 13!), Lukas (10) and Ellie (1)!  We wished that we would have been able to get together in person to celebrate such a special occasion but this is just not that kind of year.  Nevertheless, it was a very happy one for our favorite ten-year-old.  We got him a rip-stick for his birthday which he thoroughly enjoys.  Best of all, he got to start his birthday with a playoff football game which the Steelers won.  The next day, we had a few friends over for an all outdoors gathering where they played football almost the whole time. Later that week, Jacob and Nick wrestled and rolled down the hill while the Steerlers became the runner-ups in the Super Bowl. The HHYFL was a great place to start with team sports especially during the pandemic.  They were practical but safe and didn't have to cancel any games for illness.  The older boys definitely got more play time but even the youngest and smallest players were in multiple plays every game and had at least one play that involved them handling the ball.  The super bowl was an emotional loss for him, but we are really proud of how well Lukas played this season and how much he learned.  He cannot wait for next season.

Here are some of the highlights!
