Chincoteague Vacation 2017

This year we celebrated summer with a getaway to Chincoteague, one of our favorite places.  We rented a seaside home and it was gorgeous. The weather was perfect and we had fun with the kids doing the beach, finding creatures, bird watching, and eating delicious take out.  

I have tons of great photos to share! The first one is from the morning after we arrived, Nick almost always gets up first in our house and vacation was no exception to that, and he almost immediately knew something special was outside our bedroom patio door... here it was! 

Outside our house we had a little deck along an inlet to look over. The water below was only 1-2 feet deep.  

The view outside our windows was seriously breathtaking. Plus, 75% of the time there was a heron of some sort out there fishing. Here's a view from each vantage point:

And the beach is always breath taking. Did I mention that the weather was perfect?

Other fun times included: Playground, lighthouse, wildlife rides, and boat ride! And just goofing off back at the house. We had loads of laughs.
