Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving was unseasonably warm this year! We enjoyed a lazy morning at our house, having fun on the back deck and then headed to Grandma Pfeiffer's for a family dinner.

Nicholas' Birthday Party - about 25 adults, 8 kids and 5 babies joined us to celebrate a year of Nick in our lives! It was a blast.  We had a customized onesie made by our friends at Naptime Inspirations, which was adorable.  We did a music theme and got Nicholas drums for his first birthday present from Mom & Dad.  Nick got to play with some kids his own size, for one of the first times, and was a little touchy-feely!! It was cute and I was nervous at first that he'd be a bully, but he wasn't!  He got tons of generous gifts, which his older brother and his friends all kindly opened for him, and all the babies had fun playing together then.  Nicholas also loved his first cake.  He didn't smash it, he knew right from the start that he wanted to eat it - and he even finished big brother's piece (which was icing-less) when he was "done."  They are such a pair.  We had a blast and were super thankful for the fellowship and love of our wonderful friends and family and the cool gifts too.
