NYC

We haven't traveled overnight without the boys since Nicholas was born and we had been talking for a while about going to NYC.  So, we planned this trip back in the summer and knew at the time it would be a great winter getaway.  It was even better than expected!!  We've had a lot on our plates lately, all good stuff, but still we've been running so quickly we hardly have the chance to decompress sometimes and this was just what we needed.  It was a really fun time.  We saw Matilda at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway, which was an excellent musical.  Then we slept in a bit, shopped at a really unique Holiday Market at Bryant Park.  We ate delicious meals at Benjamin's Steakhouse, the Sea Fire Grill, and the Brooklyn Diner.  And, we ice-skated at Rockefeller Center!  We did the VIP passes so we didn't have to wait in line and let me tell you, they were worth every penny.  The Christmas tree is gorgeous from below, and the whole experience just had us grinning all night long.  It was really great. Here are several selfies we took throughout the weekend!
