Summer slowdown

Lukas had surgery to realign his eyes a few weeks ago, and the most difficult part has been the no playground play for three weeks postoperatively!  Here we are at our first family day at Hershey park this year, the day before surgery.
Postop day 1, Lukas Franklin was back to his normal personality, although he was awfully sun sensitive.  Here he is explaining how our garden's "predator" could use the handy ladders he provided to escape next time he decides to visit our garden ;) !

The next day we laid pretty low....
We did cooking and painting to pass the time and help us from running or jumping!
Lately, Nicholas has been crawling more and more and it's funny because Lukas is always teaching or encouraging him!
Nick is always getting into things he's not supposed to, like the bathroom, electrical cords and AC vents - just like big brother was when he was a baby (albeit a few months later).

Recently we've reconnected with some very special people.
A great friend, Darlene.  Love this picture of her.  Lukas adores her.

Despite the restrictions, these boys have still kept pretty busy...

As the shirt says, "Awesome as the USA"
