Promotion
This year is Luke’s last at Conewago Elementary, and it was a very sweet one. Throughout these years, he’s become a responsible, helpful, compassionate and well-spoken child. He’s athletic, loves all sports and their statistics, and roasts a perfect marshmallow. His report cards have been consistently excellent and he’s made fast friends with students and staff alike. Near the end of the year, they went on a week-long day-camp to Camp Hebron which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. Their promotion ceremony was cute and included a memory photo montage which everyone enjoyed. To celebrate all this, Grandma and Pop came up for the long weekend and played with us; mostly backyard games (although there was "official" announcing from the upper deck by a series of announcers in training), and a brief hike to Dinosaur rock. In short, it was a simple time of togetherness, which is one of our favorite things, and lots of memories were made. We all went out, with Grandpa too, for a hibachi dinner. The boys were amazed by the chef (see pictures below!!), and as Nick told him, "you're a way better cook than my Mom." It was a fun way to celebrate Luke's vast growth and spend some quality family time together. Lukas also really appreciated and was surprised by all the recognition (except the procession during the promotion event itself, “that was the worst part”) which made it all the sweeter.
