Summertime
This summer the kids are doing a smattering of half day camps (football for Lukas, tumbling for Nicholas, superhero for Jayden and Cooking for Jacob, plus Backyard camp and VBS, as well as swim lessons. We’ve also been to Lake Tobias and enjoyed reconnecting with friends in the neighborhood and beyond who we hadn’t seen for too long. This year I realized that it’s possible that I love feeding large domesticated animals out of the palm of my hand, even more than the little guys. But we topped it off with Dough Boys pizza and everyone had a great time. It’s been a hot one and everyone is rocking major farmers tans. We have also been enjoying campfires whenever we can and took a night to just catch fireflies. To say the kids loved it is a large understatement!! And we loved watching them light up with the feeling of magic right here in the nature of our backyard. Fireflies always make me sentimental anyways thinking of my cousins, most notably volleyball games in Aunt Joys backyard.
