Filling up our Buckets
This past week I took the 4-year-olds to Florida for some wonderful R&R. Thankfully, I had co-pilots Grandma and Pop to help out with the driving, entertainment and all! The boys were impressively well behaved on both the drive down as well as the drive back home and aside from some impending snow requiring us to drive home a day early, it was a wonderful week. For the first 2 days, the temperatures were in the mid-70's! The boys loved the ocean, running in and out with the tides over and over again while filling squirt guns and buckets of water/sand. And when the temperatures dropped into the 50's the activities all continued just the same! We climbed the rocks and buried one another and even got to watch some excavators at work on Central Avenue. We also captured a few crabs, watched the birds and even got to see several dolphins one day!! Uncle Joe, Aunt Andrea and cousins Chris and Will got to meet their new cousin and became fast friends. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and a much needed break from the pandemic isolation for me! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Grandma and Pop spoil and enjoy the little guys. Each of us loved the sun, breeze and ocean and also had some great quality bonding time.
