Lukas always recites the key ingredients for a birthday as "party hats and presents". So we made sure to have both ;)
The train stuff was a big hit with all the kiddos!
Post party painting success:
The train set that Dory, Don and Valerie brought for Lukas required painting... so we had fun with that this week too!!
November 6, Birthday part 2:
LFP has been attending Derry Preschool for a few months now and seems to be learning a lot (mostly songs) and slowly making friends (Vivian and Maximillian he's talked about at home). Mike and I had the pleasure of joining him for the cutest 20 minutes of our lives on Wednesday. We read for their story time (a book he just got from his party, "If you Give a Cat a Cupcake" which he loves and can recite almost completely from memory already) and shared everyone's favorite, fudge-stripe cookies. It was the most adorable time!

We had another 'first' as parents too. This marks the first time that a teacher has described a child (of mine) who I do not recognize. "He's so quiet," and "always a whisper" were how she described him! While we joined the class, this seemed to hold true. Despite his breaking into song often at home, he didn't utter a word while the other kids sang in class. He whispered "thank you" for the cookies and only answered verbally with "three" when she asked how old he was. Other than that, he didn't make a peep!
Below, apparently, before we arrived, there was a fire truck at preschool. Notice our boy in his birthday crown that they made him!!
November 7
Comparatively, an unremarkable day.
We stayed at home (it rained) and had good old fashioned fun.
? "hockey" (hitting the ball w a hammer)
Note the Dining room is cleared out to be as big a field for soccer/volleyball/hockey as possible!
Window Markers!
Helping with dinner
Funny true story: so today Lukas asked me, "do you have a headache," and I answered, "yes I kinda do, how did you know that?" and he replied, "can we watch some t-t?" Wow I had no idea he was so clever!?
Family fun after Dad got home
3 years... since you've joined us Lukas, our lives have become a whole different kind of adventure. We're joyful in ways we didn't know possible.
Thank you.
